If you are having difficulty with downloaded libraries failing to unzip properly on a Mac, or you are unable to select a location on your computer to install to, you may need to add the Spitfire Audio App to 'Full Disk Access' in your security settings.
To Enable 'Full Disk Access':
- Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your computer and go to System Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security from the menu that appears.
- In the Privacy & Security window to the right, select Full Disk Access.
- Select Spitfire Audio from the list of applications, and enter your Mac Administrator password when prompted.
If you are installing to an external hard drive, you may need to check your hard drive Sharing & Permissions tab as well. The Sharing & Permissions tab should have 'Read and Write' enabled for Everybody, and the 'Ignore Ownership on this Volume' option should be checked.
To Enable Proper Permissions On Your External Drive:
1. Right click the external drive on your desktop
2. Select 'Get Info'
3. Go to the Sharing & Permissions tab at the bottom
4. Click the lock icon to unlock it
5. Check the 'Ignore ownership on this volume option'
6. Change the Privilege for 'everyone' to 'Read & Write'
7. Click the lock icon once more to lock it
If those solutions are still not allowing you to download to an external drive, it may be a formatting problem in which the hard drive format is incompatible. For more information, please click the article below:
