If you are seeing an errant Symphonic Strings folder in your Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol tiles view, and your Legacy content is split as per the screenshots below:
this appears to have been due to an unzipping issue of the content in the first release. Since the recent v1.0.1 update, the legacy content has been moved into its own folder/tile.
To refresh this, in Komplete Kontrol standalone version (close all other programmes) go to Preferences > Libraries, press the Rescan button, and this should refresh the view and add the correct Legacy folder.
In Kontakt, reinitialise Kontakt following these instructions from NI:
Windows:
- Click the Windows start button at the bottom left of your screen.
- Type "%localappdata%" and click the option that appears.
- Navigate to the Native Instruments folder.
- Then, depending on the KONTAKT version you are using, delete the following folder:
Kontakt 5: "Kontakt 5"
Kontakt 6: "Kontakt"
Kontakt 7: "Kontakt 7"
Open Kontakt in standalone mode (not in a DAW) first to update and check.
Mac:
- Hold down the alt key on your computer's keyboard and click Go in the Finder menu bar. Choose the appearing Library entry in the drop-down menu.
- Navigate to Application Support > Native Instruments.
- Depending on the Kontakt version you are using, delete the following folder:
Kontakt 5: "Kontakt 5"
Kontakt 6: "Kontakt"
Kontakt 7: "Kontakt 7"
Open Kontakt in standalone mode (not in a DAW) first to update and check.
You will end up with a Spitfire Symphony Orchestra folder, and a separate Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Legacy folder, and the Legacy content separated with it's own set of banks.
