Does that mean your main drive has to be formatted as NTFS too in order to read the external hard drive? Which format does Spitfire write theirs to if ordered alongside a sample library?

    Hi Paul,

Your internal drive will be formatted based on the operating system and will be able to read the drive format in an optimal manner as a result. For example, my internal drive is APFS optimally reads MacOS Extended Journaled or APFS as a result.

The regular hard disk drives we send out will be formatted to ExFat, as it will work for file transfer on either operating system. The SSDs for BBC will be formatted based on the operating system selected during checkout. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
