In this article we will go over how to install a Kontakt Player Library. If you are unsure of which type of library you own, check out our article here, but two quick ways to know yours is a Kontakt Player library are:
1) Your library came with a serial number (check here for a list of your accounts serial numbers)
2) In the right-hand panel on the product page, you'll see the text "Includes Kontakt Player"

To get started, if this is your first Spitfire Audio library, you will need to download the Spitfire Audio App here.
Additionally, if you don't already own any software from Native Instruments, you will need to download Native Access via their site here.
1. Install Via The Spitfire Audio App
We will begin in the Spitfire App. Your Library will appear under the My Products tab. Beneath the artwork you will see an Install button:
When installation has begun you can track the progress of the download via the Downloading tab:
2. Redeem Your Serial Number In Native Access
Open Native Access and log into your Native Instruments account email. Once logged in, you will see Add Serial in the left-hand menu. You can then input the serial number that you received via email (if you've lost track just head to your account page here):
Once entered, Native Access will confirm the serial has been registered and you can press OK:
3. Locate Your Library Folder Within Native Access
Next we need to ensure Native Access knows where to look for the library content.
Your newly registered library will show up in the NEW tab in the left-hand menu:
The installation has already taken place via the Spitfire Audio app. So next, click on the three dots on the right-hand side (...) and choose Locate:
You'll now be prompted to navigate to the content location of the library.
Click on Choose a location and browse to find the main folder for this specific library. In this example, we're looking for Spitfire Audio - Ambient Guitars (the folder created by the Spitfire Audio App install):
Select the folder and click Confirm.
4. Happy Composing!
That's it, you're all set! Bear in mind, if this is your first time using Kontakt or Kontakt player you will also need to Install Kontakt via Native Access also. For specifics on this you can see and read more at Native Instrument's support here.
