We are currently still in the process of making our plugins fully compatible with Apple M1 and Big Sur.
If you use Angular Strings on a Silicon Mac and have experienced an unfixable Error 1, please download the relevant BETA file for your DAW below, and follow the instructions.
Link to Angular Strings BETA Plugins
When you download the file, you need to unzip it and move it to the relevant plugin location on your system.
Component: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > Components
VST: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST
VST 3: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST3
AAX: Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plugins
Once you have replaced your file, download the tool from this page and double click the Spitfire icon after unzipping. A Terminal window will open saying the process has completed and the window can then be closed.
This is to bypass Apple security protocols that are not yet in place due to the plugin being a beta test build.
Reopen your DAW (please ensure you are no longer running this using Rosetta) and the Angular Strings plugin should now load without error.
Should you need to update, install, or repair the Angular Strings library, you will need to repeat the process above again to prevent the issue from reoccurring, as all of these processes will reinstall the incompatible version of the plugin.
If you continue to have missing presets and use Cubase 12, please see this article
