If you are connected to the internet and don't have any Firewall or Internet security running that might stop the app connecting, but the app displays the image below then there are a few steps to try:
1. Close the app entirely and then navigate to the following folder:
Mac OS: User/Music/Spitfire Audio/Settings/
Windows: Roaming/Application Data/Spitfire Audio/ (this video shows how to get there)
2. Delete everything in this folder with the exception of your .properties and .settings files, in the example below I've outlined all of the items we would delete.
3. Delete the Spitfire App entirely and download the most recent version from here.
4. Now open the app and log in, as though this is the first time you have installed it and you should be able to connect now.
If you try these steps above and still cannot open the app, please reach out at www.spitfireaudio.com/support

hi i use macOS mojave version 10.14.4. its so annoying that the spitfire audio app still doesnt work . it says " something is wrong . are you connected to the internet ?" i tried deleting "lm.conf " files , disabling the firewall , enabling the firewall with options . nothing seems to work . ive been waiting for the server for one year right now . please find a solution to this .
Every time when i start this app, 'bad conversion' comes out. what's wrong with this?

This has just beginning to happen again – I have the latest version of the app and the credentials are valid. App says "Are you connected to the internet?". I am. What now?
So fucking stupid. I did everything you said and still can't log on. Fix this shit already. Yes I'm connected to the internet. If I wasn't, how could I post this fuck you message?
Please fix your shit.
Got the same problem here: "Something went wrong. Are you connected to the internet?"
Even with firewall off I still cant get the app running. Windows 10 user. On my previous installation on the same machine (also Win10) it was functional.
Plz do something with this. Maybe your servers are down? Let us know.
Are the servers currently down today? can't seem to get the app running
Same issue here, Something went wrong/Are you connected to the internet?
Same issue here on Mac, any fixes? I can't use my Phobos library now since I need to relocate the files... please help
EDIT:
Manually downloading the latest version from the Spitfire website and overwriting the old one in the Applications directory seems to have resolved the issue for me. The updating mechanism in the app seems to be buggy.
same problem here 😢
The latest version works fine.
This is happening to me right now. It worked when I first downloaded it no problems, downloaded some of the library no issues. But now, I can't get past this error. "Something went wrong. Are you connected to the internet."
Also, when I refresh. It throws this gem.
I've changed nothing since installing the app.
Can someone from Spitfire please let me know if there is anything else I can do?
Ok. An update. It is network based. So my router seems to be blocking ports associated with the Spitfire app. I would appreciate an update on which ports I need open (UDP/TCP) to ensure that this app is able to receive connect to your servers without issues.
Thank you.
