Thank you. In fact thing have been sorted out with a new update. Your method didn't work, since the issue was in my user name. I have some non standard central european letters in it. I simply created Spitfire Audio folder in my root, updated Spitfire Audio app and it worked.

I've tried all of this and it didn't work for me as well just like everyone in the comments but I might have something to help you, I think that this will probably be the solution to most or at least for those who use FL Studio, you can still try it on other DAWS I suppose that it's the same. It's actually very simple just follow these steps :

    [System_Drive]:\Users\[Admin_User_Name]\Spitfire\Spitfire Audio - LABS\Samples

You'll find all the samples that you downloaded there, just copy the files into :

C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\Plugins\VST (this is where I paste my files)

should be the same for those who use different DAWS.

How to move an item to the same map is a puzzle to me

    1. Locate the "spitfire.properties" file. This will likely be found at:

    [System_Drive]:\Users\[Admin_User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\Spitfire Audio\Settings

    2. Move the "spitfire.properties" file into your User account, which will be located at:

    [System_Drive]:\Users\[My_User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\Spitfire Audio\Settings

    ????

Hello, I don't suppose there's advice for Mac users? Because it's rather different. I tried everything demonstrated for the PC users. But I couldn't accomplish anything. Could somebody please help?

    Hello,

I moved the audio sample library location to another folder and changed the default location in the Spitifre Audio library application, and now it says the LABS instrument (Mandolin for example) is not installed. I used the cog icon to locate the Mandolin instrument samples. Then choosing to 'repair' the instrument- the application now again downloads the sample files even though it has already located them? This seems like a total waste of time.

Why does it have to download the instrument's sample library all over again even after I told it where the samples where and it has recognized them?

I'm astounded how shit this stuff is when it costs so much. Why has it just all failed on me, why can I not redownload why do the instructions not cover my issues. Why is it so shit. Really frustrated by this whole process. Nothing works with Spitfire for me. Did for a week but even then it was not great. Simply put there are other companies I think who will be getting my money going forward.

Hi. Can you please do an explanation video on how to solve Error #5 for MAC users? That would be great.

    Thanks

This is extremely frustrating.  I've downloaded all LABS onto an external drive and pointed the Default Content Path to this folder.  I still keep getting either Error #1 or Error #5.  I have Repaired, Located, Repaired All Labs, Located, and Reset so many times I've lost count.  This is crazy!!!!!!  I can't find any information on solutions for MAC users.  Love these LABS, but this has become not worth my time for a process that should be simple and seamless.  I'm still open to the fact that I could be missing a step somewhere; at this point, it seems I've tried all recommended solutions, many times over.  Spitfire, please help us MAC users out!!  Thanks.

Jon Wong, I've tried this many times.  I don't know if there's a hang up somewhere specific to Mac users but, at this point, I've just given up on the Labs.  They are great, but not worth the headache of trying to get something to work that should be a straightforward and fairly seamless process.

R Turner - probably is a mac bug then, as on pc I've never had a problem... Sorry. No one tried a clean reinstall to start again? It might not be the file location but program itself. Sorry i can't help much more than that

Jon Wong I had the problem on PC that even after telling Spitfire where the files are it decided to download them again which takes a while from their server.
    You said:

Which file did you change the properties of?

    WHAT ABOUT MAC ?

Farid, after corresponding with the Spitfire support team, I am happy to report that I FINALLY got LABS working again after several frustrating months!!  As a Mac user, here's what I went through...

    1. I was running MacOs 13.x (High Sierra), so the "Full Disk Access" folder wasn't showing up in the (Apple Logo in top left of Finder)-->System Preferences--> Security and Privacy box. After a little research, I found that I needed to update to Mojave or later for that panel to be visible.
    2. Then, with the Full Disk Access folder available after updating to Mojave, per Spitfire's instructions, I added (using "+" symbol in the Full Disk Access panel) the Spitfire Audio app and Logic Pro X.  Make sure they are checked/ enabled after adding.

**To make changes to the Full Disk Access folder be sure and click on the lock icon and enter your system credentials.

    3. I then opened the Spitfire app in Applications and first tried the "Relocate" function for a few LABS.
    * *I tried "Relocate" as a first resort since I had the libraries downloaded on an external drive, but the LABS app in Logic still wasn't finding them.
    * I opened Logic and...libraries still not showing up.
    4. I tried the "Repair" function. You can try "Repair All" but, because of my reticence, I "repaired" each LAB separately and opened/closed/ checked in Logic after repairing each group of four LABS to ensure they were actually showing up.  It worked!

I'd spent SO much time reinstalling LABS, deleting and downloading all of them again, resetting the path to the external drive, restarting computer, etc. etc etc, that I'd given up on using them.  This was the fix that worked for me, so I hope it's helpful for someone else!!  There's hope!

Raymond, where are your files located on your mac? The default place, which is in Users folder? I get error #1, where LABS can't read my patches. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

@Eliis, my files were/are located on an external drive.  Before doing the "Repair" option, make sure when you open the Spitfire app, go to "Settings" in the top right corner--> Default Content Path, and make sure the directory path is pointing to your Users folder.  All of the other paths listed (VST2, VST3, AU, AAX) should automatically be pointing to their respective plugin folders.  It shouldn't matter if the LABS are on an external drive or in a folder on your computer.

Tried all the repairs.. reinstalling and whatnot.

Repair button doesn't do squat either :l

    Please advise!

Running an M1 mac on Big Sur, didn't have any problems at first until suddenly it didn't work anymore.

    Hi Thomas,

Did you make sure the boxes in the "Full Disk Access" panel for the Spitfire app and your DAW (Logic, ProTools, etc) were checked?

Hey Raymond. Thanks for taking the time. I really do appreciate it. Yes, I haven't changed any settings. Everything is pointing to default locations. It's going to my a folder inside the Users folder. I'm still having this problem, though. It's an error #1 problem now. Any ideas?

Also, Thomas, I too am running Macbook M1 Big Sur. Weird bc it was working fine up until a few days ago :(

Honestly, Raymond, if you have the time, I would love to set up a screen share so you can see for yourself. Let me know if you'd be willing. Would be forever indebted to you!

    Hi Raymond Turner

Yes, all the boxes are checked for Full Disk Access (Spitfire + Ableton)

    Same results unfortunately. Also:

For BBC Symphony Orchestra (Discover) it seems to be an Error #1 code

For Spitfire LABS there seems to pop-pup an Error #5 code

Ellis Laifer is this the case for you as well?

    @Ellis, @Thomas,

There may be something quirkier happening beyond the fix that I recommended for Mac users.  I would say submit a Spitfire ticket and describe your issue/ troubleshooting efforts in detail.  They may not be able to respond directly on threads b/c there are many variables depending on the Os, daws, daw version, etc. They responded promptly and were really great about walking me through it until I found a solution.  I was getting the same Errors (#1, #5) constantly; it just so happened that their first response (detailed in thread above) was exactly what I needed to get things working!

Here's how I fixed it on the Mac after I moved my LABS folder to a new location:

    1. Go to the folder MacHD > Users >  username > Music > Spitfire Audio > Settings

    2. Open the file Spitfire.properties with a text editor (e.g. TextEdit.app)
