Hi! I am learning to create backing tracks with violin chords, and I got the Strings plugin which I use inside Ableton. My question is, what exactly happens when I press a key using the Strings plugin? Let's say I play the note C on the keyboard, does that means it will play the C Major Chord (C, E and G)? Or are there 3 violins playing the note C all together?
If so, should I use a MIDI effect to try and multiply the number of strings and shift them up 4 semitones to get the note E, and then another 7 semitones to get the note G? The plugin display shows me about 18 "voices" when add this effect in Ableton.
I thought orchestral accompaniments usually had many more violins, like 30 or so. Anyway, what would be your advice to get a good backing track made of chords, using the Strings plugin?
