WHAT’S IN SPITFIRE SYMPHONIC WOODWINDS?

Your definitive all in one Symphonic Woodwinds package, played by some of the world’s best musicians and recorded in The Hall at AIR Studios, London. It includes piccolo, flute, alto flute, bass flute, oboe, cor anglais, clarinet, bass clarinet, contrabass clarinet, bassoon and contrabassoon, plus three mic positions - Close, Tree & Ambient - for extra control.

 

WHAT’S IN SPITFIRE SYMPHONIC WOODWINDS PROFESSIONAL?

Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds Pro strengthens the patches from SSW, adding alternative (ALT) selections of Close Ribbon (Cr), Stereo Pair (St) and Gallery (G) signals, as well as the inclusion of Outrigger signals to the common CTA, creating CTAO for the ‘classic’ Spitfire setup. On top of this we offer the Fine (F), Medium (M) and Broad (B) stereo mixes, mixed by Jake Jackson, for instant great sounding mixes, with low CPU/RAM usage. This expansion contains over 167.26GB of additional content to help you make the most of Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds.

I OWN CORE, HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED TO INSTALL THE PROFESSIONAL CONTENT?

You will need ~335GB of free space to install the professional content.

 

WHAT IF I ALREADY OWN THE CORE VERSION? 

You will be eligible for the Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds Professional crossgrade. Simply add Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds Professional to your cart, which will intelligently calculate your crossgrade price.

 
 

WHAT IF I ALREADY OWN CORE AND THE LEGACY EXPANSION? 

Great! This means you already own Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds Professional, and will have received a free update to each part of the library as a result. 
 
 
WHAT IF I OWN SOME OF THE OLDER BML LIBRARIES?
 
There is no direct cross grade path from our BML libraries to SSO, so in almost all cases** the cheapest way to buy into the Collection is to first upgrade to the relevant Symphonic library then upgrade to SSO (owners of Mural Volume 1 for instance, should upgrade to Spitfire Symphonic Strings, owners of BML Reeds should go via Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds).

** Because of the discounting scheme on the SSO Collection, there are a very few scenarios where you would be better off to go directly to buying SSO without upgrading first. 

Here are the rules.

  • If you own one single BML brass library which is either BML Horns, or one of the three Phalanx Libraries (Horns Phalanx, Trumpet Phalanx, Bone Phalanx), buy SSO directly. This is only if you own one of them. If you own more than one of these, upgrade to Spitfire Symphonic Brass first, then SSO.

  • For any other combination of BML libraries you already own, you should always upgrade to the relevant Symphonic library first and only then upgrade to SSO to obtain the best price.
