BT Phobos will not say "Error 1", however it will show missing presets. This is the same issue as the video below, just visually different on the plugin.
We are currently still in the process of making our plugins fully compatible with Apple M1 and Big Sur.
If you use Phobos and have experienced an unfixable Missing Presets, please download the relevant BETA file for your DAW below, and follow the instructions.
When you download the file, you need to unzip it and move it to the relevant plugin location on your system.
Component: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > Components
VST: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST
VST 3: Mac HD > Library > Audio > Plugins > VST3
AAX: Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Avid > Audio > Plugins
Once you have replaced your file, open the Terminal App, copy and paste the relevant line for your plugin type below and hit Enter.
NB: The file path names may differ depending on the language your device is using.
xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/"BT Phobos.component"
xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/"BT Phobos.vst"
xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/"BT Phobos.vst3"
xattr -cr /Library/Application/Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/"BT Phobos.aaxplugin"
This is to bypass Apple security protocols that are not yet in place due to the plugin being a beta test build.
Reopen your DAW (please ensure you are no longer running this using Rosetta) and the Phobos plugin should now load without error. Should you need to update, install, or repair the Phobos library, you will need to repeat the process above again to prevent the issue from reoccurring.
If you continue to have missing presets and use Cubase 12, please see this article
