    Hi, I also wasn't able to fix it. Maybe I need to reinstall everything? I see I'm not the only one here! I'm using Mac by the way!

    I keep having this error all the time, despite multiple re installings and re-downloads.

    I have I have the spitfire app and vst 2 and 3 on a folder on a dedicated ssd drive and the instruments organized in other folders(piano, strings, etc) but despite locating the libraries, etc, the error still occurs. When i install something it works, then as soon as a reopen the app on my daw its messed up again.

    Igor, if you are in Windows, have you checked the "Spitfire.properties" file in this folder:
    [System_Drive]:\Users\[My_User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\Spitfire Audio\Settings

    If your daw finds the instruments when you login as administrator but it doesn't when you login as a user, that might be the solution, since Spitfire.properties contains the instruments locations, and at least in my case and some other people, only the settings file was correctly installed in the administrator account, but not in the users' accounts. By just copying that properties file to the corresponding folder in the user account might solve the issue in your system as it did in mine.

    Greetings. I'm facing error #5 so I tried following these steps but I can't open the spitfire audio app. I tried disabling firewall or deleting the Im.conf file, with no result, I still can't open the app. Obviously I am connected to the internet. Could I be missing something important :< ? Thank you in advance

    Hi! I have been using LABS for 2 months. During this time, this error has occurred several times! Every time you have to download all the libraries again. Work is simply impossible! Could you fix this error or simplify the way to solve it without re-downloading all the libraries?

    This is what I have done to solve this issue. I moved the "Spitfireproperites.settings" to "My UserName" folder as specified in the second part of this solution.

    The real trick is editing this file. There will be three paths for patches, presets, and samples. Ensure that the path is actually pointing to those folders. I found that I had to had "Spitfire - LABS" into the path name to ensure the right location. Now it is working like a charm! Hope this helps someone else!

    Hi! I wanted to move the LABS directory to another PC. But when starting DAW, LABS throws error #1 or #5. How can I transfer LABS to another PC so I don't have to download all the libraries again?

    I have the same problem. And newly downloaded Spitfire Audio hangs on the redownload of LABs or even exiting (Mojave 10.14.6, Ableton Live 10)

    I keep getting the Error 5. But only with LABS. BBC Orchestra Discover works fine. I believe it might be something releated to my Windows user account, which unfortunately contains some central european letters. Unfortunately right now I can¨t re-install the computer. Also it was sold to me with this account allready (I would never choose the user name with special letters). Is there any way how to get rid of the error? None of the sollutions decribed here work for me. Thank you.

    In my case, I fixed the following file and it works.

    [System_Drive]:\Users\[My_User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\Spitfire Audio\Settings\

    • Products.manifest

    The setting value that specifies the VST location for each instrument did not specify where the LABS vsti DLLs are located.

    "VST_64": "~~~~",
    "VST3_64": "~~~~",
    "VST_32": "~~~~",
    "VST3_32": "~~~~"

    It seems to be the default folder, not the specified folder.

    Sorry for my poor English.
